New to HR: How Do I Tackle Job Analysis for My Own Role with Limited Experience?

Tejinder Kaur
Hi, I am new to this group. I have just joined a company as a Senior HR Executive and have only 3 months of experience in HR and the remaining 4 years in marketing and consultation. I have been tasked with preparing a project on job analysis for my own profile.

To complete the job analysis of my role, I need to consider the following points:
1. Conduct a thorough job analysis focusing on tasks related to the job, with each task categorized based on time schedule: hourly, weekly, monthly, or yearly.
2. Identify KSAB (Knowledge, Skills, Attitude/Ability, and Behavior) required for the job and apply them accordingly. Skills should be classified into Compilation and Proficiency levels, with ratings ranging from 1 to 5.
3. Identify tasks as "Must know" or "May know."
4. Define job specifications outlining the necessary requirements for the role.

Given my limited experience in the HR field, I am finding this task challenging. I would appreciate any assistance you can provide.

Regards, Tejinder Kaur :(
