Dear Himani,

These words are not synonymous, as job satisfaction is a subset of employee satisfaction. An employee can be well satisfied with his job but not overall satisfied due to various other reasons. The job that the employee is doing may be good for him or her, and he or she likes the job, but he may be dissatisfied about something else in the organization, such as the process of performance appraisal, employee recognition, a bad boss, poor compensation package, etc.

Employee satisfaction is a wider term than job satisfaction. Job satisfaction is one factor for employee satisfaction. There are many more factors that determine employee satisfaction. There is no prototypical model, but its design and defined evaluating methodologies are based on certain percentage points scoring, depending on employees' priorities for the jobs, which satisfaction level is measured.

No, not synonyms.

Job satisfaction means the satisfaction obtained by an employee from his job, whereas employee satisfaction means the overall satisfaction arising from various factors like canteen, benefits, supervision, infrastructure, etc., besides his own job.
