Planning a Fun Activity Calendar for 2008: What Team-Building Ideas Do You Suggest?

I have divided the entire organization into four parts/houses, as we used to do in schools. A house is a mix of all departments. You can plan your activities with a mix of popular sports, one-minute games, Dumb shell arts, and a quiz based on one topic, etc.

Hi Diparna,

You can infuse the fun factor into the everyday workplace by introducing new concepts. I have put up a board where we all share our views, jokes, cartoons, etc. This helps everyone to provide their input and also gives others a break when they read it, bringing a smile to everyone's faces.

Organize at least one event a month - this could be in the office or outside. If finances are a constraint, keep it to small events in the workplace during an extended lunch break or after hours on a Saturday. These events can also involve organizing a particular theme for a specific day. For example, I recently arranged a picnic for the entire office staff and their families with the theme "Jeans and Sneakers".

Have a great time organizing a variety of activities!

Thank you very much for your suggestion! I too had arranged a one-day outing for our staff to the beach. It was fun!

Thanks for your suggestion of a board. :) I have started an online magazine where employees can post their photos, articles, jokes, etc. You can try this.

Great ideas for extra activities for employees. I am also looking for activities for the employees. Let me list my ideas and I would like to have more ideas from you.

- Company picnic with family.
- Indoor fun games often.
- Movies.

A few activities that I have thought of but have not done yet are:
- Outdoor games (Cricket or tennis).
- Some charity in orphanages (spending time with kids and buying them gifts).

Apart from these, I would like to know a few more activities that can involve employees outside their work schedule.

P.S.: Online Magazine is a great idea. I will surely implement it. Please, friends, pour some more ideas.

Hi Diparna and Vinni, I was just going through your posts about fun activities for employees when I noticed the "Online Magazine" concept. It seems to be a great idea.
