Understanding Gallup Q12 Survey: How Do You Calculate the Grand Mean in Excel?

I need help and assistance from one of you to understand the complete calculation procedure of the Grand (average) mean for the Gallup Q12 Survey. Is there an Excel reference sheet to understand the assumptions/formulas for calculation? I would appreciate a quick response from one of you.
