Daily Tasks Of Training Manager - Pdf Download

KVE
Hi All,
Could anyone please share as to what could be or are the "Daily Tasks or Day-to-Day Tasks"(not responsibilties) of a Communciations Training Manager.
I need the above because I've got a golden oppurtunity to volunteer myself in my firm for the vacancy of a Training Manager.
I've been a Voice and Accent Trainer but not a Training Manager.
Please help me to be there.
Thanking you in anticipation,
Regards,
KVE

Hello,
The daily tasks of the training manager would be:
1. To check if scheduled trainings are on track.
2. Coordinate with team members on training activities.
3. Coordinate with various stake holders on planning, implementing or evaluating training.
4. Constantly looking at avenues that can add value to higher efficiency of the organization.
A large part of a training managers job is not charted. A whole lot of it is planning and coordination. The other important aspect is to ensure effectiveness of training... how training is leading to higher efficiency and biz development.
It also means a lot of report keeping and analysis. This may not be on a day to day basis, but the tasks get cascaded over days.
Hope this helps,
Shilpa

Dear Shilpa
You are perfectly right. Infact just to add on to this, if the Job profile or JD of the same has been defined, then it becomes very easy for the Training Manager to identify with the same.
What are your thoughts on the same??
KVE have you got the solution or you still looking for more inputs.
Let me know???

Sure... It would be great if the job definition is there. Generally, most large organizations do have these roles defined down to the last detail.
However, in case someone feels that he or she could value-add, a list of what a TM actually does helps.
KVE, the only other aspect I can add is that sometimes a company expects a training manager to train employees too. But that, as Raaj has said, will be told to you right at the beginning.
My thoughts on your offer -- if you are passionate about training, about helping someone enhance their skills -- go right ahead and take up the offer.
The job of a training manager will largely remain the same in most organisations, the only difference would be a new set of people to think for.
All the best,
Shilpa
