Moving to Dubai as a Chartered Accountant: How Do I Decide on a Fair Salary Offer?

shak
Hi, I am a Chartered Accountant with 6 years of experience and have been offered a job in Dubai. I am married with a child. The company has asked me to quote a salary. I am not well-versed with the income/expense trends in Dubai. Please advise me on the number I should be quoting.

As you have only experienced India, you can ask for about Dhs. 12,000/- per month gross. That's what I suggest. Now let others pour in their suggestions.

Warm regards,

Hi all,

This comment is based on my experience. Anything below AED 15,000 can ruin the lifestyle in Dubai. If it is below that, ensure that your prospective employer is providing you with accommodation on a non-sharing basis. If on a sharing basis, it's a nightmare. Also, ensure the company provides you with a vehicle until you have your own license. Without a vehicle, you can't even think about leaving your home.

I hope this gives you a fair idea.

Dear Roti, Kapda, aur Makaan should be perfectly hona chahiye. Kam se kam 12000 Dirham manga, kyun ki 1 Dirham = 13.65 Rs, excluding accommodation, medical, food, etc.
