Awards For Employees

I am working in a software company in HR.We are working on some morale building exercise for our employees.We are working on some awards like
Best Employee of the year
Best Programmer of the year
Best Team of the Year
Award for Man on time etc...
Can you kindly help me out in framming the rating system or Method of assessing the employee for award...Is there any rating system prevails.....What are all the attributes we need to take into account to select the employees for the said awards ...kindly send me some format or samples..

Well we do have Leadership award for all the Dept
rating is doen by Senior Management in scale of One to Ten ..They discuss on this and then do it ..
Whilst ..Project Manager Of COncern Dept and Delivery heads also involved ..
Ratings can be in various forms ..Statistics ..of Each Dept

Hi vidhya,
we have the Best Associate of the month awards and we rate them on a 1-10 score on the following traits:
Effort and Commitment
Initiative
Team Work & Interpersonal Relations
Punctuality and Attendance
Personal Appearance and Grooming
Work Ethics & Honesty.
Awards are given for House Keeping Services, Customer Care, Technical Services, Support Services, Security.
Even though Security and House Keeping is outsourced, we have included them for the awards since they too have a larger role to play in the org.
The same is reviewed by the HR Committee which will finalise the awardees.
