Can somebody share a policy related to company sponsoring higher education for employees? What should be the basis and criteria?

Hi Govil,

Few points to consider:

- Whether the employee working in your company is performing well.
- Verify if the course he has opted for is beneficial for the company.
- Request the employee to sign a three-year agreement with the company. After completing the course, he will commit to serving the company for at least three years.

You can work on the following points for the Scholarship Policy:
- Objective of the policy
- Eligibility Criteria (PA ratings, academic ranks, confirmed employee, served the company for 2-3 years)
- Conditions (How much tuition fees can be paid by the company, which programs are part of the policy, no sabbatical)
- Institutes recognized under the policy
- Process of application

Really good one. What I have done is set the qualifying criteria as a minimum of 5 years of service with the company, and the employee cannot leave the company for a minimum period of 3 years.

In service, an employee has been given the chance to pursue higher studies with all necessary financial support. Now, I require a contractual agreement form to ensure that he/she will not leave the conglomerate for a minimum of 5 years following the completion of the higher studies. Please assist me by providing such a form.
