Hi sir,

I would like to know the difference between Human Resources Development (HRD) and Human Resources Planning (HRP). I believe that HRP is a component of HRD. Additionally, I am interested in understanding the career growth opportunities for both organizations and individuals in relation to these areas.

Thank you.

Hi,

HRD refers to human resource development, which is a part of the operative functions of HRM. It consists of appraisal, training, and development.

On the other hand, HRP stands for human resource planning, which helps ensure that the organization has sufficient human resources (both in type and number) to meet the future requirements of the organization.
