Seeking Advice on Competency Mapping Training and Implementation in IT Firms

Can anyone update me on any training program going on in the topic "Competency Mapping" nearby? If so, kindly inform me. Is there any certification course for this topic? Is it worth doing a course? Will I be equipped enough to implement the competency mapping concept if I attend a program or do a certification course? Kindly advise me on this.

How do I go about to implement the concept in our organization? I am in an IT company with 75 people working on Offshore projects.

You can contact Mr. Rao from TV Rao Learning Systems. They conduct a 6-month certification course on Competency mapping. This is a distance learning program with assignments and projects, along with a 3-day workshop at their institute. I have just completed this course in February 2006.

The course was good and really useful. The cost is Rs. 23,000 for the course. After completion of the course, you will receive a certification. They are very strict on the assignments and project work. The certification is based on their evaluation.
