Thanks for the information. I would like to bring an incident to your notice. One of my friends lost his mobile phone. By the time we followed the steps you mentioned in your post, but we received no response. In fact, we even walked into a police station and filed an FIR regarding this (with some bribe). They are still searching. During our discussion there, we received a reply stating, "We receive enough complaints like this per day.
