Hi,
I will share different kinds of assessment centers where I played the role of assessor:
Assessment centers which will be of 2 days:
1) It has 5 to 6 different kinds of exercises which would measure the listed competencies for the specific level.
2) These exercises include individual as well as group participation.
3) Each competency will be measured through two or three exercises.
4) The assessor ratio would be 1:4.
5) The session ends with one-to-one feedback.
6) Detailed reports will be sent to the candidate directly.
Assessment Center which will be of three days:
1) It will cover a limited number of competencies.
2) 5 exercises, but each exercise will have sub-exercises.
3) Each exercise would measure one competency or a maximum of two.
4) The assessor ratio will be 2:2/4.
5) Consolidation of the scores and interpretation of the results.
6) No feedback at the end of the assessment. Reports will be sent later.
Assessment Center which will be of four days:
1) This kind of assessment center is like a stress interview.
2) The participants will be fully engaged in some exercises. It would also include 60% functional assessment through simulations and 40% leadership aspects.
3) The assessors would be in a 1:4 ratio.
4) No feedback at the end of the assessment. Reports will be sent later.
All this approach is confined to my experience with competency mapping.
