Career Crossroads: Should I Save for a Full-Time MBA or Pursue My Passion in HR?

shweta345
Hi all, I hope someone replies. I am in a big dilemma, guys. I am working as a lecturer in an engineering college and I am interested in HR resourcing. I have done my B.E. in electronics, but the problem is that I want to do my MBA. I don't have much finance. So, should I work in my college as a lecturer for a salary of 16k and save up to do my full-time MBA, or work as an HR recruiter (my passion) for a salary of 8k and do a part-time MBA? Please, please, please, I need help :(

Hi Shweta,

First of all, I must welcome you to this site. Good to hear that you are working as a lecturer in an Engineering College. It is my advice that you should continue with your work, i.e., teaching as a lecturer, and at the same time, start preparing for the full-time entrance exam for an MBA. It would not be good if you quit your job and work for a lower salary. A regular MBA course is better than a distance one. Don't worry about finances; banks are there to provide you with help. So, have patience and prepare well for your MBA exams. Next year, you will definitely get into good B-schools in India.

Best of luck!
