How Do Companies Verify Educational Backgrounds and Past Jobs During Screening?

Dear Seniors,

I want to know the process steps of background screening regarding Educational Background checks.

If a candidate is a B.Tech graduate and has worked in three companies previously, and is now joining a fourth company, will the fourth company verify the experiences from all three previous companies?

Additionally, will they verify educational qualifications including SSC, Intermediate, and B.Tech, or only the final degree (B.Tech)? Where will the verification take place? Will it be at the College/School or University (Engineering)/Board (SSC/Inter), or at both locations?

Seniors, please provide me with detailed information as I require it urgently.

Previous employment level checks depend on the company. Mostly, the last company where the candidate has worked is given priority. The verification is done through a phone call or email conversation.

Also, as I said, depending on your company, a similar process is followed for the 1st or 2nd company as well.

Educational Verification

As far as educational verification is concerned, B.Tech all semesters, 10th, and 12th marks are all verified through the university/board, respectively. This can be done through the candidate's enrollment number.
