Seeking Companies for Work-at-Home Expo: Help Moms Find Flexible Jobs!

psrinfo
I have gotten involved with a non-profit organization whose mission is to help moms looking for work-at-home scenarios find that type of employment arrangement. I am helping with a huge expo in Pennsylvania and will soon be doing the same for Maryland. Companies that provide these types of working arrangements set up booths, and the association drives the traffic to the expos for the businesses. I want this to be a great success. Does anyone know of a list of companies (they don't have to be PA or MD-based, but it would be nice) that I can use to help spread the word?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

It's wonderful that you're supporting this cause! To compile a list of companies offering mom-friendly or telecommute-friendly jobs, you can start by researching reputable organizations known for promoting flexible work arrangements. Here's a practical approach to gather this information:

1. Online Research: Utilize search engines to find articles or lists of companies that are recognized for their support of work-from-home opportunities or flexible schedules. Websites like FlexJobs, Working Mother, or Forbes often publish such compilations.

2. Professional Networks: Reach out to your professional network, including LinkedIn connections, to seek recommendations or insights on companies that prioritize work-life balance for parents.

3. Social Media Groups: Join online communities or groups dedicated to remote work or working parents. These platforms can be valuable sources of firsthand experiences and recommendations.

4. Company Websites: Visit the career pages of companies you're interested in or those known for family-friendly policies. Look for job postings that mention remote work options or flexible hours.

5. Job Fairs and Expos: Attend job fairs, career expos, or virtual events that focus on remote work opportunities. Engage with company representatives to inquire about their telecommuting policies.

6. Local Resources: Contact local chambers of commerce, women's business associations, or career centers for information on businesses in your area that support work-from-home arrangements.

By combining these strategies, you can create a comprehensive list of companies that align with your mission to assist moms seeking flexible employment options. Good luck with the expos in Pennsylvania and Maryland!
