How Can I Withdraw My PF Without My Former Employer's Signature? Seeking Guidance

Dear Sir,

I left my old company, which is located in Chakan, and I joined a new organization. However, here, there is no PF facility, so I can't transfer my PF. I want to withdraw my PF without the employer's signature. I have the PF number and other details, so I need to withdraw PF. Please provide me with the right direction on how to withdraw PF without requiring the employer's signature.

Regards,
KATE

Hi,

Generally, every claim we make to the PF department has to be signed by the Employer concerned. But in case the employer is not available or, for any reason, does not tend to sign the form, the option is very simple.

1. Complete your PF withdrawal form in all other manners and provide the required information.
2. Write a simple application in favor of the PF commissioner stating the reason why the employer has not signed the form.
3. Get it attested by any of the following and submit it with the application:
- Manager of the bank where the individual's account is held
- Head of an educational institution
- A Gazetted officer
- Sub-Postmaster
- The Magistrate
- Member of the central board of trustees
- Chairman/Secretary/Member of the municipal district/local board
- President of village union/panchayat/Member of Parliament

Hope your query is resolved.

Thanks,

Hi Kate,

Don't worry, the process is straightforward. You need to get a signature from any of the following officials: municipality chairmen, tehsildar, collector, MLA, MP, or IAS officers, instead of your employer's signature.

I have left my previous company due to a very poor work environment. Now, the ex-employer is not ready to sign my PF withdrawal forms. I got the signed Form 10C and Form 19 from ICICI Bank and submitted them to the PF department, but the claim was rejected, mentioning the reason that the form was not certified by the authorized signatory of the employer.

Advice Needed on PF Withdrawal Process

Please advise on what I should do?

Thanks,
Ranjit
