dear friends,
Please some one reply me at the earliest possible.
based on our company employees contract the salary will divide to two separate part :1-basic 2-allowances and it mentioned that ex: the employees has 21 days paid leave shall we pay them full of 21 days i mean basic plus allowances or just the leave salary should be calculate based on basic salary which is 65% of total amount
please advice at the soonest.
thank you

Hi friend,
If an employee is taking the paid leave then he is eligible for the whole salary, means he will get both his basic and allowances. But in case of leave encashment , in most of the companies only basic salary is encashed and allowances are not.

Thank you for your swift response but what about if some employes took unpaid leave as they didn't accomplish with us one year and after one year they claimed for their enchashment ( as per the company 's policy the employees are not entitled to take paid leave for the first year)
awaiting to receive your response

Hi, I am Satyanarayana
With regard to your querry regarding leave encashment, Basic pay and DA is only paid for leave encashment. If DA is not specifically mentioned in the pay package, no other allowances need to be paid. Basic pay only will qualify for Leave Encashment .
Have a good day
