Hi Vidhya,

First, you need to change the room to post this topic.

Secondly, you can go for some Happy Hours activities where you can include a weekly snacks hour, organize movie screenings, set up game hours, or opt for a quarterly lunch sponsored by the company.

Smitaa

Hi,

Just take care of slow music without a song and arrange weekend parties, birthday parties, and give movie tickets for weekends, etc. Additionally, consider incorporating a one-act play that highlights internal problems within the organization. This play can showcase the challenges faced by seniors or juniors, illustrating the issues effectively.

Thank you,
Tarun

The first thing you have to do is to have HR interactions with all the employees. Create a cultural committee from the employees and find a few dates in the calendar to have some recreational activities on special occasions. Have month-end birthday parties. Provide tea time snacks (Half an hour) in the evening and try to be as close as possible to employees. Try monthly or quarterly performance-based awards for each team.

Hi Vidhya,

I suggest trying a channel speaker system in your office and playing some film karaoke tunes, classical music, etc. Additionally, consider placing a TV set and allowing employees to watch during lunch hour or after office hours. You can also arrange for games such as Carrom board, Chess, and Table Tennis, as well as providing magazines for entertainment.

Hi Vidya, Your thought for improving employee morale in the first place itself will help the cause. It's the beginning of the change. Have you heard of the FISH philosophy? It's applicable everywhere. All the best! Regards, Muthukumar K

Dear Vidhya,

There are various fun activities that you can do for your employees. Before introducing any new concepts, you have to do your homework about the nature of work that they do, the frequency of activities that you would like to have, and the kind of activities that you need to do, etc.

Some of the activities like FISH (Fun in stressed hours), birthday bash, screening of movies, picnics, connect session, ODC week, and cultural events of low budget are a few activities that you can do.

Thanks,
Brijesh

Hi,

In today's time, I believe the best thing for fun in the office is to start some days regulated where employees have to leave the office at a stipulated closing time, say 5:30 pm or 6:00 pm. This should start with due homework of communicating the essence of time management, work-life balance, helping people understand that they need to stretch within the given office hours, rush to close the work before time, and have fun thereafter. Close the day with a small 15-minute party with snacks and say goodbye. Employees will find it new, a time balance for work and family, and an increased fun quotient.
