Are Male Recruiters More Easily Impressed by Female Candidates? Let's Discuss!

Can we have a debate on the topic "if male recruiters are easily impressed by female candidates?" (:roll: for whatever reason)

These are just assumptions that we hold in our minds. If a female candidate gets selected over a male candidate (for an HR post), then it depends on the nature of the job/task that is required. Sometimes it's the psychological and organizational fit the employer predicts and assesses.

The statement made can be seen as an attribution to someone's "failure."

The truth is, nobody ever knows except the employer who chooses, as to what variables play a role at the time of recruitment and what specific skill sets they are looking for.

The myth and also the major practice of preferring a female candidate for an HR post is because it is believed that females possess a serving nature, so the post may suit that characteristic better. All the functions of HR are service-oriented or maintenance in nature (by and large).

My statements are open to discussions and critique!

I think womenfolk have certain advantages in this profession because they stick longer in one organization compared to male fraternity. There are some more advantages a woman possesses... :D

There is no question of failure. If you have ever appeared for interviews, you will understand in the final round. Aptitude, group discussions can be cleared; it doesn't matter whether you are a guy or a girl. But personal interviews do matter.

Well, again, do you guys really think that organizations choose a person because of some x-factors? Then I guess this is a total fantasy of a Bollywood film. However, I don't understand why an organization would invest so many resources and time if there is no valid value addition.

There is a difference between Bollywood and Hollywood. The kind of roles offered to a fresh HR guy is... well, you are intelligent enough to understand. So why not a good-looking, socially presentable fella?

It depends on the roles and responsibilities to handle, but gender won't be a problem in acquiring a position.

Sorry for the delayed response, but this just came to my attention that women employees are more suitable. I am persistent in this statement because the role suits them due to their service-oriented nature. Since the beginning of time, we have seen women in nurturing roles such as being a mother to father/son/family (client), nurse to patients (client), teacher to students (client), wife to husband, etc.

These examples from our daily lives are often overlooked and underestimated. When we consider the various levels in an organization, HR is primarily involved in support functions like administration, receptionist, private secretary - all roles that involve serving others. Therefore, according to corporate standards, women excel in these positions as they do not necessarily require decision-making or intense mental strain.

I don't think women are much better than men in terms of challenges they are capable of handling. Simply coming to the office and relying on their appearance is not enough, which is why manufacturing companies may not give much preference to women.
