Pls Find the details on Employee Leave travel Assistance.
Purpose:
It helps the employees of the company meet the expenses incurred on visits to their hometown or any other place along with their family.
Features:
LTA is paid every month along with salaries.
All tax liability on account of LTA has to be borne by the concerned individual.
Employees who would like to avail tax exemption for Leave Travel Allowance under the Income Tax Act, has to proceed on minimum Five days of EL.
Evidence of such travel has to be produced through tickets / travel agent’s bills, etc. to Accounts Dept. to claim the exemption.

Hi, i have a query regarding legitimate Travel Agent's Bills. I had claimed my LTA through a travel agent bill. The bill got rejected with the reason stating, "The bill is not valid as there is no TIN found on it". Should all bills contain TIN no? If not how to identify a legitimate Travel bill?
