Hello Swapna,
The HR role is very crucial in the organization.
Maintaining the good relationship with employees is the main responsibility of the HR.
HR needs to coordinate the work with All HOD'S in the organization if that is a small firm.
There are many things to explain but,If you gain the experience you will come to know the importance.

HR providers have to play a very imp. role in creating value,value in terms of Contribution,Content,Channel & Competencies.Mastering the above will lead to success.HR executives should also take on the responsibility of enhancing capability of responding to newer expectations.developing understanding of people,organisation & business,bringing abt change,developing performance mgt systems,developing employees & improving image of organisation .
