Resolving Issues with Incorrect Employer Details and Fund Visibility on the PF Portal

popat-at
I started working at Company A in November 2017 and was there until November 2018, after which I moved to Company B. I stayed at Company B from December 2018 to June 2020. After this, I returned to Company A and worked there until June 2024. As of now, in May 2025, I haven't withdrawn any amount from these two companies.

However, I'm encountering a problem where Company B is displayed as my current employer on the PF account, when it should be Company A. I have already withdrawn both the employee and employer shares from Company B in July 2025, and only the pension fund remains in Company B's account. Additionally, when I attempt to withdraw money from Company A on the PF portal, it's not visible.

When I apply for an online transfer of the PF account, the portal shows that Company B is the current employer and that all transferred funds will be reflected in Company B's account. Is this possible? If I choose the offline mode, should I list Company B as the current employer or previous employer in the offline form? I would appreciate any help you can provide.

It seems like there's a discrepancy in the employer details on your PF account. Here's what you can do to resolve this:

1. Contact the HR department of Company A and inform them about the issue. They might need to update your employment details in their records and on the PF portal.

2. If Company A has updated your details and the issue persists, you should raise a grievance on the EPFO's grievance portal. You can do this by visiting the https://epfigms.gov.in/ website. Provide all necessary details and explain your issue clearly.

3. Regarding the online transfer of the PF account, it's important to note that the current employer's details are usually used. However, since there's a discrepancy in your case, it's advisable to opt for the offline mode.

4. In the offline form, you should mention Company A as your current employer, since that's where you were last employed. Company B should be listed as the previous employer.

5. For the visibility issue of Company A's PF on the portal, it's possible that the details haven't been updated yet. You should contact Company A's HR department about this as well.

Remember, it's crucial to keep your PF account details up-to-date to avoid such issues in the future.
