Resignation Stuck in Limbo: What to Do When Management Ignores Your Notice?

tush1507
Dear Friends,

I've submitted my resignation at the start of this month. I have been requesting acceptance of the resignation from the management since then. A mail has been sent out from my end. However, it has been more than 10 days, and I am yet to hear anything from their end.

There is no communication regarding:

1. Acceptance of resignation;
2. Handover of charge, etc., despite verbal reminders via email.

What is the position of the employee in such a case? I have an assistant to whom I have been handing over the job for all these days, and I am almost through with it. Will I be held back by the management on the pretext that the handover was not proper, etc.?

Please advise...
