Hello friends out there, how soon may a retired staff member of an institution be paid their monthly allowance/salary? Will such a staff member be paid at the end of the month or a week before the end?

Payment of Salary and Gratuity for Retired Staff

If the salary is within the limits of the Payment of Wages Act, i.e., Rs. 24,000 per month, the payment should be made two days before the employee's last working day. However, if the employee does not fall under the Payment of Wages Act, the employer may take a reasonable time to determine what will be available for the full and final settlement. Additionally, the gratuity payable should be paid within 30 days of the last working day.
