Is It Fair to Deny My Annual Increment After a Delayed Pay Revision? Seeking Advice

abdullah-khan4551835
Greetings. My pay revision was due in April 2021. I receive the annual increment in February every year. Our organization implemented the revised pay scale, effective January 2025. Since my annual increment falls due in February, I applied for it. The organization has refused to give the increment, stating that the salary has already been revised and enhanced and that the increment will be given next year, that is, in January 2026.

Is this correct?

The revision of the pay scale was delayed for 4 years, and now they are not ready to give increments. Please advise, thanks.

When the pay revision took place in January 2025, it was supposed to account for all the due increments. Accordingly, the next increment will be in January 2026.

You may cross-check with the HR Department of the organization regarding the logic behind the salary revision. Hopefully, it has addressed the pending increments.
