I hope you're doing well. I am reaching out to seek your guidance regarding an issue one of my friends is encountering with the overlapping dates of exit.
Background of the Issue
She joined Infosys in July 2019, and after completing the training, she had to report to the Pune location. However, due to some unavoidable family issues, she had to abscond from Infosys. She informed her then reporting manager in August 2019 (unfortunately, it was a text message for which she doesn't have any proof).
After that, she joined TCS on 9th September 2019. However, in her Infosys relieving letter, the date of exit is showing as 11th September 2019, which is creating a 2-day overlap issue.
Current Situation
Now, she has left TCS and wants to join another company. During the background checks of the new company, this overlapping issue surfaced, and the new company is requesting it to be rectified. However, Infosys is stating that as per the abscond process, the mentioned date is correct and cannot be changed. Now, she is left with no job.
