Navigating NHAI Projects: What Rules and Licenses Should I Know About?

Dear Team, Recently, I was deployed to NHAI Road Projects, and I need your suggestions to improve my work. This is regarding what kinds of acts, rules, laws, and licenses are applicable to the NHAI Project, including staff welfare.

I request you to please guide me on my further steps. The project is in the initiation stage, and the company is making arrangements for staff accommodation and other necessities. What licenses can I apply for, and how?

Applicable Social Welfare Legislations

All social welfare legislations would apply, such as PF, ESI/EC, LWF, MB, etc. Attention should be given to the Inter-State Migrant Workmen Act, 1979.

You have to obtain a license under CL(R&A), ISMW, B&OCW, and PF. The ESI may be required upon notification. You also have to get an NOC from the pollution control department for the Batching Plant and Hot Tar Asphalt plant, which are essential to start.
