How to Fix an Incorrect Exit Date on EPFO for an Employee Still Working with Us?

The employee has been continuously working with our organization since 2012. However, due to a clerical error, the Date of Exit has been erroneously updated on the EPFO portal. This is incorrect, as the employee is still actively employed with our organization, and we have been regularly contributing both the employee's and employer's share towards their Provident Fund account without interruption.

In order to rectify the incorrect Date of Exit on the EPFO portal, you need to follow these steps:

1. Log in to the EPFO portal using your employer credentials.

2. Go to the 'Member' section and select the 'Update Exit Date' option.

3. You will see a list of employees for whom the Date of Exit has been recorded. Locate the employee in question.

4. Click on the 'Edit' icon next to the employee's details.

5. Remove the incorrect Date of Exit and leave the field blank to indicate that the employee is still actively employed.

6. Click on 'Update' to save the changes.
