Blacklisted Company Created My PF Account: How Do I Handle the Exit Date Issue?

Previously, I applied for a company but didn't join. They created my PF account with my UAN, but no exit date or money was added.

Now, I have learned that the company is blacklisted. I contacted them, and they mentioned they could add an exit date to the PF. What exit date should I specify for the blacklisted company?

I didn't know that the company was blacklisted. Do you have any suggestions on what to do right now for future background verifications and dealing with companies?

Handling UAN and PF Account Issues

A UAN number cannot be created again for EPF contributions. Hence, if you have joined any company, inform the HR department to use the same UAN number and joining date. Request the previous company to provide a Date of Exit before this joining date. As no contributions were made by the company, you do not need to transfer or link the account with the present employer.

What exit date should I put since I haven't worked there, so that it won't hinder my future background verifications and opportunities?

Exit date has to be entered by the member themselves. Please mark the exit date as the same as the date of joining. It is very unusual that an account was created without the person physically joining.

Put the same date of joining as the exit date.
