Where and how can an employee seek support in case of wrongful termination of employment?

In cases of wrongful termination, employees can seek support through several channels. Firstly, they should review their employment contract and any company policies related to termination. Consulting with a legal professional who specializes in employment law can provide guidance on potential legal actions. Additionally, employees can reach out to labor unions, if applicable, or contact government labor departments for advice and support. It is also beneficial to document all relevant communications and events leading up to the termination for reference.

Definition of a Workman

A workman means an employee who has no managerial rights. Simply appointing an employee, initiating disciplinary action against an employee, approving leave, appraising performance, etc., are considered to be managerial rights. An employee who does not possess any of these rights will come under the scope of a workman, and such an employee will get the protection of the ID Act.
