I am facing a difficult problem.
I have joined a company two months back with around 300 employees.
My boss is Manager - HR , who has got 7 - 8 yrs of experience. There is shortage of manpower in the HR department. However, the management does not show keen interest in taking another competent person in the team.
Many a times, i am told to work on some vague requirements. When i ask for a JD, I feel that my boss avoids giving that to me. I am told to do mass mailing without knowing the fitment of candidates.
He keeps calling me to office on weekends without having clear idea on assignments. Also, everyday in office, I sit from 9:30 to around 8, 8: 30 (sometimes without any work). Whenever i seek approval to leave office, he ignores me and tries to give some work.
Streching is not a problem for me, but without any work, sitting late in the office does not make sense.
There are many things which need immediate attention in the organization. When i point out or try to suggest something to him, he just ignores or avoids...
I don't know what to do. I have tried talking to him, but in vain.
