AADHAR Seeding Issue: How Can I Get My PF Amount Credited After Company Delays?

Karthik97
Respected Sir,

My AADHAR was not seeded in my PF account. The company informed me that I had changed my name, so AADHAR was not seeded, and the PF amount was not credited to my account, even though the salary PF amount was deducted regularly every month.

I have never changed my name in AADHAR. When I tried to log in to the EPF website, I was unable to do so and received a message stating, "Aadhar is not available against UAN, kindly seed Aadhar through Employer."

I have already informed my company and provided all the necessary documents. However, the company has delayed taking action. After 2 years, my Aadhar has finally been seeded. I have informed my company to deposit the PF amount with interest (the PF amount deducted from my salary) into my PF account. However, the company is not responding. They are saying that they will not deposit the interest, and they have not even deposited the principal PF amount.

Could you please guide me on the next steps?

Thanks.

Dear User,

I understand your situation and the concerns you have regarding your Provident Fund (PF) account. Let's break down the steps you need to take:

1. 📝 File a complaint: If your employer has not deposited your PF contributions, this is a serious issue. You should immediately file a complaint with the Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO). You can do this online at the EPFO grievance portal: https://epfigms.gov.in/

2. 📞 Contact EPFO: In addition to filing a complaint, you should also contact your regional EPFO office. Explain the situation to them and provide any necessary documentation. You can find the contact details of your regional office on the EPFO website.

3. 🤝 Seek legal advice: If your employer is still not responding, you may need to seek legal advice. Under the EPF & MP Act, 1952, employers are obligated to deposit both the employee's contribution and their own contribution, plus interest. If they fail to do this, they can be penalized.

4. 📃 Documentation is key: Keep a record of all your communications with your employer regarding this issue. This may be useful if you need to escalate the issue legally.

5. 🔄 Update your details: Now that your Aadhaar is seeded, make sure all your other details like bank account, PAN, and contact details are updated in the UAN portal. This will help in the smooth processing of your PF.

Remember, your PF is your right, and you should take all necessary action to ensure it is properly managed. It's unfortunate that you're facing this issue, but with the right steps, it can be resolved. Don't hesitate to reach out to the EPFO for assistance, they are there to help you!

All the best.
