How to Handle Job Applications Without an Experience or Relieving Letter?

I spent 6 months as a software engineer in a company. I gave immediate resignation because of personal problems. I wasn't able to attend the notice period due to personal issues. The company can't issue an experience letter or a relieving letter. Therefore, other companies can consider my experience after I show them the appointment letter and payslips.

I understand your situation. But, have you seen your appointment letter? Did any conditions have been given to stick with the company for a minimum period? If not, you can ask the management/HR for the relieving certificate and experience letter.

I don't believe any company holds certificates or withholds salary amounts unless you have not given proper notice period as per company instructions.

So, did you quit the job before the notice period?

Some companies are willing to hire candidates without relieving and experience certificates from the previous company because employers need the candidate to fill the position promptly. However, there may be critical issues for employees. Usually, every company provides an appointment with a probationary period of 6 months. During that time, employees can't take much flexibility in work or leave, be late, or engage in internal politics. If employees engage in these behaviors and management feels it's wrong, they may be fired. This situation can be tough for employees as they didn't receive any certificates from the earlier company and now they have been fired from the current company. It's a significant pressure to survive and settle their career in another company.

I am currently working in an MNC for 4 years. I was taken by this company as a lateral entry software engineer despite having only 1 year of experience in my previous company.

I was not given an experience/relieving letter from my previous company. Instead, I was given a direct letter stating that I voluntarily discontinued from the company within 12 days after I was forced to quit due to health conditions. I informed them directly about this situation, but despite my efforts, they didn't issue me an experience letter.

I was not issued any warning letter at that time. I felt helpless and jobless and tried to find a position at my next company.

So, I showed this original letter to my current company without hiding or producing any fake experience letter. They accepted me as an entry-level Software engineer.

Now, I am looking for a change. Should I still go back to my first company and ask for my relieving letter, or should I ignore this experience and only include my current company's experience?

Please suggest how to handle this situation if I go for the next job interview.
