Mistakenly Entered EPS Salary Over 15K: How Can I Fix Pension Scheme Eligibility?

dkssbhardwaj@gmail
During the new employee registration process, I mistakenly entered the EPS salary as more than 15K. Now, I am unable to contribute to the employee's EPS, and a message is appearing: "MEMBER IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR PENSION SCHEME."

You cannot change it now. The employee will be under the EPF scheme but not under EPS. Though the Kerala High Court has rightly said that the amendment of 2014, which put restrictions on the Pension Fund, was unconstitutional, the Supreme Court ruled it out and said there is nothing wrong with it. The Court should have remembered that EPF is a social security legislation meant for the benefit of employees, and not a scheme to pay salaries and allowances to a section of citizens of India employed in the EPF Organisation.
