Date of exit mismatch with my actual last working day in company

saurabh-singh4169547
Hi, I was relieved from an organization on 14th September, and the employer made PF contributions in October. Since the employer made the contribution in October, I was not able to select the Date of Exit as 14th September. The earliest date available to mark is October 1st. I had already joined a new organization on 15th September. By mistake, I chose October 1st as my Date of Exit, causing an overlap in service. How can I correct this Date of Exit to reflect my actual last working day effectively and immediately?

What do we need to do here?

NB: All documents sent to me by the employer state that 14th September was the Last Working Day, which is the actual date.

Dear Member,

There was no need to enter your Date of Exit in the EPF Portal. You should have informed your Ex-Employer to enter your Date of Exit as per the records of the company. Now, contact your Ex-Employer with the Case History/Documents for resolving the issue.

Hi,

You need to fill out the Joint Declaration (JD) form to correct the date of exit through your UAN member portal. Once you have completed this, your employer will approve the JD, and it will be forwarded to the PF field officer for further approval.

Hi,

Please check if your previous employer has already updated the Date of Exit (DOE) in the PF portal. If yes, please submit the Joint Declaration (JD) via employer attestation to EPFO. Without this correction, you may encounter difficulties in continuing the linking of your new employer PF with UAN. Remember to attach Form 5 and 10 when submitting the JD.

After submission, raise an online grievance to EPFO from your member portal by attaching the submitted documents (after JD submission). The processing time may vary, typically taking around one month, depending on the EPFO local branch.

I recommend correcting the data mismatch promptly to avoid potential issues in future PF transactions.
