If a new employee's ESI registration is completed after joining, and due to some UAN problem, PF registration cannot be done, then can the salary be processed without PF deduction? If yes, please elaborate with some examples.
If you have employed a person who falls under the ESI/EPF coverage, you should deduct ESI/EPF even if the registration could not be completed due to technical reasons. The deducted amount can be remitted once the registration is done. It may attract interest and damages if the payment is made after the due date.
