Calculating Monthly Attrition: How Do You Approach This HR Challenge?

Sana@citehr
Hi Seniors,

Warm Greetings... Please let me know how we should calculate attrition for a particular month.

Hi Sana,

Attrition Rate = No. of resigned of that month / Available manpower * 100. For example, if on any starting day of the previous month the manpower was 80 and during that month 5 resigned and 10 joined, then on the last day of the month, the Manpower would be 80 - 5 + 10 = 85. So, the Attrition rate = 5 / 85 * 100.

Hope the query has been solved now.

Regards,
Amit Seth.

Hi Sana,

You can use this formula: TNORPM / TNOEB + TNONJ - TNOR * 100

TNORPM - Total number of resignations per month (voluntary or forced)
TNOEB - Total number of employees at the beginning
TNOJ - Total number of new joiners
TNOR - Total number of resignees
