Stuck Without Pay or Appointment Letter at a Startup: How Should I Handle This Mess?

Hi, I need suggestions on this. I recently joined a startup. It has been almost two months since I have been paid any salary, nor have I been issued any appointment letter. I work as an HR and find it very difficult to deal with these issues. Employees are also frustrated due to delayed salaries every month. The founder doesn't even follow basic norms. If an employee resigns by giving a notice period as per appointment, he doesn't clear the full and final settlement. I am thinking of leaving but have not received any payment and am afraid that I will not even get a relieving or experience letter, let alone the full and final settlement. Please advise on what I should do.

It seems that the company is a fraudulent entity. You should advocate for the employees and address the key management personnel promptly. If they are unwilling to listen to your concerns, consider leaving the company. Don't worry about the relieving letter; after all, it has only been a few months. It's advisable not to continue working with them.

Thank you, Madhu, for your suggestion. I am also considering the same, but I was in a dilemma about whether this action might affect my career with the next organization. It's been 2 months since I joined this company. There are no key personnel; the founder is the sole owner of the company. I feel bad for other employees since I am unable to help them out. It's unnecessary mental harassment and, in addition, a financial loss too.
