Hello, I am Vikas, working as an HR assistant in our company. An employee passed away during work hours. When I went to submit the documents to the PF office, they requested that I attach the ON Role certificate.

Could someone please provide guidance on what the ON Role Certificate entails and how to complete the EPF Death Case Claim document?

This is a certificate in which the employer declares that the deceased employee was at work at the time of their death. Additionally, the EPF and EPS contributions should be deposited one day before the employee's death. Also, remember that when you remove a deceased employee from the EPF Portal, you need to select "Death in Service" to ensure a smooth claim process.
