There is no Industrial Relations Act, but only the Industrial Disputes Act. The ID Act covers all workers who have no supervisory and managerial functions.
The Industrial Relations Act is a state act of Maharashtra and Gujarat, applicable to specific industries like cotton and sugar. If your factory is in Gujarat or Maharashtra and operates in the specified fields, then the workers will be covered under that act.
Ok, fine. Who all are covered under the said Acts? As I said, the ID Act covers all employees, not necessarily the workers, who do not have supervisory and managerial functions. Does the IR Act also have a similar scope for the worker/workman?
