Maternity Benefits From ESIC

Dear All,
Pls help me out in maternity leave benefits.
One of my employee joined co. before 6 months ago. now she is on leave and having a baby, will she get some cash benefits / leave encashments from ESIC?
As per my knowledge a person should completed 9 months period to get the cash benefit. isnt?

Yes you are correct. The contribution period is important. For your easy reference an example is given below.
Contribution period
If the person joined insurance employment for the first time, say on 5th January, his first contribution period will be from 5th January to 31st March and his corresponding first benefit will be from 5th October to 31st December.
