Eligibility for Rehire During an Internal Investigation

Can the employer mark an employee as not eligible to be rehired when the employee resigns and is relieved after serving a notice period during an ongoing internal investigation?

Hi, it will be purely at the discretion of the employer based on the conduct and performance of the former employee during the work period.

Employer's Decision During Internal Investigation

By the way, while some internal investigation was underway, how did the employer decide to relieve you?

Hi Vmlakshminarayanan Sir, the resignation was submitted on March 16th, which was accepted by the Team Lead. However, I haven't received any mail from HR indicating that they are holding off the resignation due to an internal investigation. The relieving date is set for April 16th.

Hi, Ok. In the initial post, you had claimed that you felt relieved after the notice period. When there is a dispute, the employer may not consider you for rehire.
