Why Was My PF Transfer Claim Rejected Due to Unequal Shares? How Can I Fix It?

Hi, my PF transfer claim was rejected with the reason:

Reason for Rejection

Reason: IN PREVIOUS ESTT BOTH SHARES ARE UNEQUAL. PLEASE CONFIRM EPS ELIGIBILITY OF PREVIOUS ESTT.

Why was it rejected, and what do I need to do? I joined after 1st September 2014, and my basic salary was more than 15k. My first company didn't contribute to EPS, while my second company started contributing to it.

The second company has committed an error by contributing to the Pension Fund. Now, you can transfer the PF only if they correct their contributions and request to transfer the contributions made by them to the Pension Fund to your Provident Fund. This can be easily done at the EPF Office itself based on your request to do so. However, they will not take any action because nowadays they work in accordance with the law. The primary objective of EPFO has shifted from employee benefits to "rejecting claims and making money."
