Stuck in a Night Shift: How Can I Secure an Early Release to Join a Day Job?

Hello. I have been working in a firm for almost a year, but I have received an offer from another company. My current employer is not granting me early release. I am in a probation period, so my notice period is 60 days, and I need early relief within one month. I have to join the new company within a month. I have politely asked my manager because the latest offer is for a day shift, and I cannot continue in my current night shift role. However, they are still rejecting my request for early release, even though I am willing to buy out the notice period. Please advise. Attached is the screenshot of the clause regarding the notice period in my appointment letter.

Hi, you claim you have been working with your current employer for almost a year but are still on probation? Normally, the probationary period is for 3 to 6 months only. If your services were already confirmed in writing, then the notice period clause for the probation period will not apply to you. Please check on this.

Regarding paying salary in lieu of the notice period, generally, it is at the employer's discretion whether to accept salary in lieu of the notice period or demand the full notice period. You can request it but cannot claim it as a matter of right. So, it all depends on your negotiation skills.
