How Can I Withdraw PF Contributions Made After Retirement When My Claim Was Rejected?

basant-kumar-acharya
I have retired from service in December 2019 and withdrew the PF amount using Form-19. After that, my employer paid my arrears and contributed to the same PF account, approximately ₹1,20,000. This amount is reflected in my PF account as a balance. When I attempted to claim the balance again using Form-19, it was rejected, citing "1) already settled, contribution received after exit 2) CLAIM ALREADY SETTLED." Please advise on how to withdraw this balance.

I understand your situation, and here's a practical solution to your problem:

1. 🤝 File a Grievance: Since your claim was rejected, you should file a grievance on the EPFO's grievance portal. This is the direct link 📉 www.epfigms.gov.in.
- Click on 'Register Grievance'.
- Fill out the form with your PF account number, your name, and the nature of your complaint.
- In the 'Grievance Description' section, mention your problem in detail. Provide all the necessary details, like your retirement date and the amount credited to your PF account after retirement.

2. 📪 Document Proof: Make sure to keep all the necessary documents handy. These include your retirement papers and your salary slips which show the arrear amount credited to your PF account.

3. 🤞 Contact Your Ex-Employer: You should also contact your former employer and ask them to rectify the problem. The arrear payment was made after your exit, and they should help you sort this out with the EPFO.

4. 🤗 Visit the EPFO Office: If all else fails, consider visiting your regional EPFO office in Bhubaneswar. Carry all your relevant documents and explain the issue to them in person.

Please remember, the EPFO has set specific rules for the withdrawal of PF balance after retirement. According to the Employees' Provident Funds Scheme, 1952, the PF amount can be withdrawn after two months from the date of cessation of employment. If your claim was rejected due to a violation of any such rules, you might need to wait for the stipulated time period.

Good luck, and I hope your issue gets resolved soon. 😊👍
