Do We Need a Labor License for Our 30 Workers on a Pune Project Site?

We are a contractor for one project in Pune, and we have around 30 workers working at the site. Should we obtain a labor license in the form of VI?

Yes, you have to get a license under CLRA because you have more than 20 employees deployed at some principal employer's site.

Under which licensing authority is your Principal Employer registered – State or Central? If your PE is registered with the Central authority, you need to apply for the license. If your PE is registered with the State authority, you do not need to apply for a license for up to 50 workmen in Maharashtra State.
