As per the Factory Act, how to calculate salary days

Example 1: An employee who is absent for 4 days in a week will be entitled to a weekly off or not.

Employees absent on Saturday or Monday shall be eligible for Sunday as a weekly off.

An employee present on Saturday, after being absent from Monday to Thursday, shall be eligible to be paid for Sunday as a weekly off.

Treatment of a holiday/weekly off day coming in between leaves

The treatment of a holiday or weekly off day that falls between leaves depends on the type of leave the employee has availed. If the employee has taken annual leave with wages or earned leave, then the Sunday intervening between two such leave days, i.e., Saturday and Monday, should not be marked as leave but should be marked as a weekly off only.

If the leave is without pay, then you can treat the Sunday also as unpaid.
