Salary Delays at Dairy Company: How Can Employees Get Paid on Time?

Hi all, One of my friends works for a dairy company and receives his salary every month on the 22nd. He has repeatedly asked management to pay employees' wages on the 10th of every month, but without success. Is there any solution for this? Every month, he receives his salary between the 25th and the 28th of the following month (e.g., he received his December 2023 salary on January 28th, 2024).

He has informed the Accounts Department to remind management about the employee salaries. The Accounts Department stated that, as per the MD's instructions, they will credit the salary without needing reminders. A solution is needed for this issue...

Strictly speaking, the salary should be paid on or before the 7th of every month. There may be some flexibility if the number of employees is more than 1000, in which case the salary can be paid on or before the 10th of every month. While your friend has the option of approaching the Labour Authorities for a solution, I would suggest looking for another employer who pays salaries on time.
