Confused About EPF Message on Unpaid Contributions? Need Help Understanding This Issue

Receiving the message from EPF that "DEAR EMPLOYER, YOUR ESTABLISHMENT MHBAN00XXXXXX, COMPANY XXXXXXX, HAS FAILED TO CORRECTLY PAY BOTH EMPLOYEES' SHARE AND EMPLOYERS' SHARE IN ECR FOR 31 EMPLOYEES. IT IS REQUESTED TO FILE CORRECT ECR FOR ALL EMPLOYEES WITH THE REMAINING SHARE OF CONTRIBUTION IMMEDIATELY. -EPFO." We had paid the challan successfully, and now, after around 4 months, we received this message. Our consultant said to ignore this.

Can anyone explain to me what this is related to?

This kind of message is being generated all over India. When I contacted the EPFO, the authorities said that this is a system-generated message from the technical team as part of their system updating, and hence it may be ignored. Therefore, you can either ignore it or contact your EPFO office to get it clarified.
