Is a Protected Worker Entitled to Suspension Allowance After Misconduct Is Proven?

Dear experts,

One protected workman has been found guilty of serious misconduct after an inquiry. Pending permission from the Authority, Management wants to suspend him. Is he entitled to any suspension allowance pending permission once the charges are proved?

Subsistence allowance and suspension

Subsistence allowance has nothing to do with permission from the conciliation officer to suspend a protected workman. It applies to all workmen suspended. Therefore, the suspended employee, whether a protected workman or not, should be paid subsistence allowance from the date of his suspension without fail.
